Winter season’s coming, and even though I’m absolutely not ready mentally, my wardrobe is ready. I’ve pulled out my winter coats and I’m all set to beat the cold. If you’re not ready yet and need some help to find sustainable winter coats, this blog post is for you. With all these fair fashion jackets, a more mindful winter can be guaranteed.
1. Embassy of Bricks and Logs
This streetwear brand serves you the best sustainable jackets, all throughout the year. Embassy of Bricks and Logs is a vegan company. For them, sustainability starts and ends with taking a wholesome approach, including every living being along their supply chain. All the materials they work with are certified: either organic or recycled. Their winter coats and big puffers are well-known throughout the fair fashion community.

2. Filippa K
Whenever you need solid, high quality items, you’re always at the right place at Filippa K. And for their winter coats, it’s no different. All items are fairly made from high quality materials, such as (recycled) wool and polyester. The style is rather simple and classic. Combine this with good quality and you’ll have items that last you a lifetime. And rewearing items over and over again, is one of the most sustainable things you can do!
3. MaisonCléo
This French brand revolutionised the fashion industry by introducing their made-to-order practices on a whole different level. MaisonCléo started as a semi-fun experiment where a mother and daughter sold their work solely on Wednesday evenings. This became such a succes, that hundreds of people are now waiting on their website every Wednesday to get their hands on one of the items. Everything is still made-to-order from high quality leftover fabrics. The style is dreamy and sexy: like we can expect from French women. 😉
4. Miista
Maybe you remember Miista from their statement shoes and bags. However, this winter they now also launched their fashion collection. This includes sustainable coats and jackets, which will help you survive winter. Everything is designed in London and ethically made in Spain. Their designs are quite high-end and extravagant, which also reflects in their material choices and prices.
5. Ganni
This is a Danish brand that has been around for quite some time. Maybe you wouldn’t immediately think of them being sustainable or whatsoever. Less could have been true. They’re working really hard to work with sustainable and organic materials – for example, all coats are made of recycled materials. Ganni’s style is very extravagant and outspoken, so you can be sure to have an excited and bright winter in it.
6. Paloma Wool
Paloma Wool is a Spanish brand that brings small business to another level. With their limited designs, short production processes and extravagant approach to sustainable design, they too were able to revolutionise the fashion industry. Their coats are mostly made of recycled materials and are a fun addition to your winter wardrobe. Personally I own two spring/autumn jackets by Paloma Wool and after years, I still receive compliments when wearing them!

7. Everlane
Everlane is an US based brand that focusses on clean design that will last you a long time. You’ll find classic coats made of recycled wool or oversized puffers made of recycled nylon. All Everlane’s items are incredibly good to style and you’ll always look effortlessly chic.
